So hello there, I am Misery. Some of you may know me from WP; I mostly know dcj123 from there, but I also recognize a few other names that I spot frequently in WP.
I'm on there most days, and likely will be here as well. I have ALOT of free time.
Which I suppose leads into me telling a bit about myself.
I live in the big stupid hole in the ground known as Illinois, well south of Chicago (thankfully for my sanity), on the boundary of civilization (AKA, a few stores) and endless, endless grass. ...no, seriously, most of the freaking state is grass. I hate grass now. I like the beach, like down in Florida. Where it's warm. I also like an environment of sand and rock. Like out in the desert, where it is also warm. But no, I'm in.... this place. It is not warm here, except in my room where heat is generated by a bazillion electronic devices running at once.
I live with my father and stepmother in a bloated whale of a house that, frankly, I get tired of quickly. Call it a "wealthy family" situation... I dont work, havent done so in... uhhh... at least 8 years... but generally have enough money to do whatever I happen to feel like doing at the time. If I want to buy something, I just go buy it, it doesnt seem to matter. Just... whatever. This leads to me being a bit of an impulse buyer, but I digress.... As good as this all sounds it does lead to monstrous amounts of boredom, particularly during the winter. I dont leave the house much during this season. So I get bored. If I ever seem extra snarky on a particular day... this is probably the reason.
Though, I'm kinda snarky and sarcastic pretty much all the time, and am known for having a bit of a dark personality, though I'm always polite towards others and willing to help if needed. I'm definitely a bit of a geek; my main hobby is gaming, which I've been doing my whole life (indeed, my most frequented part of WP... and most forums... is the gaming section), but I'm also into computers, anime, and recently I got into cubing, which is absolutely bloody fascinating and loads of fun but boy is there a learning curve to it. That's my newest hobby. I'm also into conventions and cosplay, which is.... a whole other matter and a whole other set of stories. And by "stories" I mean "bizarre adventures which may or may not involve being in the back of a pickup truck during winter for some reason (which would be much, much weirder if I explained what I was wearing at the time) and may or may not also involve a talking robot donkey head". Among other weird things. Dont ask, my explanations just make it even worse. But the cosplay bit also leads into the fact that while I'm male, I dont always entirely conform to that particular.... uh... role. Or whatever word should go there. I have mild gender issues which, frankly, I dont understand, and IRL I'm kinda on the androgynous side to begin with, in terms of appearance. So that tends to complicate things. Or just make things confusing. Which is something I'm good at, is being confusing. If you want things to not make the slightest lick of sense, I'm the one for the job!
I also really like nature and stuff, and am extremely good with animals, particularly dogs and cats.
So yeah, that's a bit about me. Glad to be here, and it'll be interesting to see where things go from here. If there's some way I can be of help, just let me know!
